It was a perfect desert day. A storm was predicted but at noon we had a lovely lunch under a psuedo Indian ruin in the camp-ground. It was high enough for a dramatic vista of the valley below. Usually quite barren, the desert looked lush with vegetation from the previous rains. I liked the strong contrast of the shaows at mid-day.
