Description: Many visual artists find verbal communication difficult in the promotion of their art. Join us for a relaxing and interactive presentation to learn to confidently promote your work. With the help of an innovative and fun card game, you will increase your vocabulary to include descriptive and power words in relation to you and your art! Learn tips about being a good listener when communicating with potential patrons. You will enjoy a fun role-playing experience when we divide into groups to practice using the tools provided in the presentation. You’ll leave feeling more informed and confident and with great tips for the closing the sale!
About the Speaker: Susan Haldeman is the owner of Art Biz Success. With over 20 years of experience as an innovative businesswoman and artist, Art Biz Success provides a platform for Susan to provide consulting services and workshop presentations to artists, creative businesses and nonprofit organizations. Susan studied at the Massachusetts College of Art, and has a degree in business from Lasell College. After running successful textile and interior design companies in the Boston area, she moved to Denver and founded The Creative Force Collaborative, a business resource center for artists that provided workshops, art openings and support for professional advancement. Now located in California, Susan has continued her work within the non-profit sector and the arts communities throughout Southern California.
